The husband-and wife founders of D.E. Chung Hua Foods -Lin Tsung- lung and Chen Hsiu ching _ first went into business at Kaohsiung's Shihchuan Night Market in 1993. In order to look afer her children, Chen left her job, put together NT$5,000, and bought a second-hand food cart, pot, and cookware. With a four-month-old child on her back, Chen the embarked on the arduous life of a night market food seller.During the initial period, Lin and Chen learned as they went, worked hard, and weren't afraid to make mistakes. Eventually, their braised dish business became increasingly successful. To ensure that their work did not interfere with their children's education, the couple decided to become wholesale suppliers. D.E.
